I want to do a short presentation with a film included. When I connect my iPod touch with the composite cable to the beamer, a small window pops up on the iPod touch's screen asking if a want to use TV out. If I say yes, the movie only plays on the beamer, if I choose no, the movie only plays on the small screen.

Is there a way to play the movie on both screens simultaniously?

Any suggestion appreciated.

Not that I could figure out. Because that would potentially be too useful.

I did the same thing - gave a presentation with the screen behind me. It would have been great to actually be able to see the video in front of me on the touch as opposed to having to look over my shoulder all the time.

I'm glad to hear it's possible to do a presentation that way.

I consider the two screen output to be a basic functionality. Do you really think it's a marketing decision (again) by apple or are there any technical constraints?

The really useful stuff would be the Keynote application on the iPod touch itself, controlled by the apple remote. :):)
