Description:: Dane Harnett has updated his new WideScreenMail plugin, giving it the much-asked for two-line preview la Entourage. This was one of the features most requested of Letterbox, the Tiger wide-screen plugin. In Entourage, the middle of its three panes offers a listing of the selected mailbox, with each line displaying the sender, subject line and time at which the email arrived. Now, with WideScreenMail, Mail.app users can have the same layout.

Fabulous program-- Apple needs to buy this one from Dan and make it the norm in mail. Well done!

Ive used this in Tiger – Im glad hes addressed the list issue. I hope hes also addressed one big problem Ive had with it; the resizing of the message list and message body columns. Moving the column separator to the left worked fine, but it would not let me move it back. In the end I could not see the messages, only the message list. Which made it pretty much useless.

I'm still under Tiger, but this plug in may help me get more into Mail.app. I'm an Entourage user, but the two line email display is a nice option.

I forwarded the link to my friend who uses Leopard and uses Mail.app a lot.
