New problem, New Hard Drive not being recognized (old disc stuck was remedied)

New problem, now when trying to reinstall os x, the installer won't reconize the new hard drive installed, how do I go about making it visible

Its at the select a destination volume to install mac os x software that no disc volume shows up.

Did you just edit the thread title to change the subject matter?

Now anyone that had your original problem is not going to be able to search for a solution in the forums search.

Format it in Disk Utility.

Is format simply the erase ?
