before when the new imacs were released, the 2.8GHZ wasnt available in stores, but are they now? and do you get education dicounts in stores?

I bought mine from :apple: Store on September 7th, but that was a whole month after release.

what do you mean? i am homeschooled and thats it. can i bring in a report card from my tutor to prove it, im 14

if there being nice they should honer it, i think they are only really going to make a fuss with people of over 16, cos they could not be in education (here in the UK atleast)

if you show any form of proof of age, they should let you, as all 14 year olds will be in some form of education.

I thought you had to be 18+ to take advantage of the Edu discount too, but I don't know.

online, as long as you're in college, in a k-12 school, or homschooled, you get a discount, but im buying mine from a store, i wonder if everything goes the same

I thought the k-12 was only for teachers

Yes, only teachers and staff (and PTA members et al.) at the K-12 level get the EDU discount...not students.

online, students getting homeschooled get discounts! i got one! so this thread is useless for me now, i ordered the imac online...with the homeschool discount

i hope you didnt get that 4 gigs of RAM from apple... i ordered mine with 2 gigs, plan to upgrade from crucial to 4

it came with 2GB but I replaced it with 4GB from OWC... now i have 2 Single GB sticks lying in the iMac box :(
