This may seem like a silly question, but what is the default icon size for the desktop (not finder, if there is any difference) in Leopard? Is it 48x48?

Yes...it is 48x48.

Hmm, I never realized how small that was, I use 128 on the desktop and 100 in the finder

Default desktop icon size in SL

I know this is an old question directed to leopard, but whats the default size for desktop icons in snow leopard? 64x64?

Icon size

Updates let osx with 48... clean install with 62.
