making books in iphoto

i have been using iphoto to create a book and am frustrated that it crops my images to fit the rectangles on the page template. i thought this would be fun and easy but it's getting silly.

anyone have a fix for this?
 
You should be able to double-click on the photo then use the slider to zoom in or out and the hand to move the picture around within the frame.
 
thanks, i actually wised up and right-clicked the image and checked "Resize Photo to Image Frame"

sorry, i am a moron...
