i got my hands on early copy and i must say i have mixed opinions. some of the new versions are great like sam's town, but others (glances over at sweet talk) would have been better off if they had left them alone. i was just wondering if anyone else had it yet and if they do then what are your thoughts?

I must say that Sawdust is one of the most emotionally loaded albums I have listened to in a long time (for a band as mainstream as the Killers). My only objection is the fact that because this is a B-Sides album, the songs don't tie together well. This is still already one of my favorite albums, however, and I think people need to realize that the Killers aren't going to release another Hot Fuss.

Love it!
I wasn't a huge fan of Sam's Town(at first), but now I love that one too(I thought it was good, but Hot Fuss was better...now I'd say its the other way around)
But yea, Sam's Town was more fluid(between songs)...this one clearly isn't(and wasn't meant to be)

Obviously the songs won't flow, as it is just a compilation, but it still a great album. I'm loving Tranquilize, Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf (finally the murder trilogy is complete!), Under the Gun, Show You How, Glamourous Indie Rock and Roll, Who Let You Go?, The Ballad Of Michael Valentine, and Romeo and Juliet. Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town is also growing on me.

I personally LOVE Sweet Talk. Others I like are Move Away, Under the Gun, and Daddy's Eyes. As for Sam's Town the song, I still like the original. That could be my favorite Killers song. And I do prefer Sam's Town over Hot Fuss and can't wait for their 3rd album!
