My friend has an older 333Mhz G3 Wallstreet PowerBook (which can handle Jaguar pretty well I might add), and he want to upgrade his internal CD-ROM drive. He wants at least a DVD-ROM, but if combo or SuperDrive would be that much extra, those would definitely be considered. A few questions then:

1. How much are the different drives, and where is the best place to get them?

2. How big a pain in the ass is self-installing a new optical drive in that type of book?

3. He has a FW400 upgrade card, so would getting an external drive be more cost-effective?

4.Would a SuperDrive do any good? (Can that type of book even encode DVDs regardless of time constraints)?

Thanks a bunch guys!
