Trouble connecting to a WIFI hotspot.

I've been trying to get my Ibook to connect to the internet at a local WIFI hotspot. In Internet Connect I highlight the Network name and it says "connected" next to status but when I open Safari it says the page cannot be displayed as there is no internet connection!!!

Any ideas why this would happen and how to resolve it?

still happening

Tried my local hotspot again, still having the same trouble.

Anyone else similar issues?
