So I have a 2ghz Core 2 Duo, white Macbook with 2gb ram, and a 250gb HD, with leopard that I'm considering selling to a friend.

I personally like the machine, but with leaving college I may move up to a macbook pro and one of my friends is interested in picking it up, however I have no idea what to offer it to him for.

I'm thinking I'll probably keep it but just want to get a feel for what a reasonable price would be on it.

There is a website that allows you to calculate the value of your mac by configuring to your specs...but I don't remember what it is...anyone have a clue?

Anyway, take a look at the base specs of refurbished models, lower a little bit, and then add the cost of each added component of your MB. That might be an easy way to figure out cost.

Prices are not accurate (not even close). I used their software and received a price quote of $730 on my macbook. Here are the specs for my macbook:
2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 Mb ram
160 Gb HDD
Applecare (their software doesn't allow for this $250 option)

My computer will fetch close to $1300 on Ebay. That is a $570 difference.
