Hello everyone,
My sister is interested in getting some games for her 8 year old son (he really wants a GameBoy, but she's decided against that). The biggest impediment is that she's currently running an old Rev B iMac (the original model, after it came out in multi-colors). So, I'm looking for suggestions about where she could buy and download games for her machine that her son would find interesting. Thanks!!

Nanosaur & Bugdom.
Burning Monkey Solitaire.
Make sure it's running Mac OS 8.6 or 9, then go shopping on ebay.
You might find Cro-Magnon Racer, too.
He might like Railroad Tycoon II or Civilization II, or even Alpha Centauri.

Go to www.insidemacgames.com, then look at their review archive for reviews from 1998-2001 or so. Most of those will be G3-capable, and it should be clear which are best for kids. Although, the suggestions here already are good (did they come packed-in with the stock OS?)

She is actually running Mac OS X, though I'm not sure which .x she's running. I'll have to check and find out.

I know we (Feral) have an bunch of our older games (most of them with demos) that will run on your rev B iMac.
Sheep
Theme Park World
Worms Blast
Should all run, we also have a few that are min spec of 333 which is above your spec but with luck might run (I recommend you try a demo if possible).
Apart from Feral stuff Pangea games made lots of lower spec titles and so do Freeverse. So check them out to.

Tropico maybe? Risk and Risk II? I bet the original Sims would run OK as well.

Would Herores of Might & Magic III play on that? If so, I'd recommend it. :)
