Do any of you UK users have a favourite, cheap UK Apple online store? Not including the offical Apple website of course :)

Ah yes, John Lewis does offer very good warranty deals. Is that where you get all your stuff?

No because I'm a student so I buy from Apple.

I'm waiting for JL to get the SR MacBooks in ... went in to the Wycombe one this evening and they said they should be in within the week. Same price as Apple but with 2-year warranty.

Them, or Amazon.co.uk with the lower price which will allow me to buy RAM or AppleCare!

Sooooo hard to wait though :)

Hey, and I've been promoted to member!!

I have found Jigsaw to be very good in service and price.

Are there any reputable UK resellers that will also perform upgrades? The prices for extra ram and storage on the Apple store are obscene.

It's not too difficult to do it yourself. All of the above are user-servicable and I believe won't void your Apple warranty.

Crucial, eBuyer, Dabs all have great prices for these components.

There are guides on MacRumors on how to do all of this.

Yeah, I've considered doing it myself but I'm just too lazy! I'm happy to pay someone else to do it for me just not as much as Apple are asking! :)

That's a nice offer. Thanks!

I'm about to upgrade my old G4 mini but I'm waiting in the hope that it gets refreshed with the Santa Rosa chipset soon. Once that happens, I may come back to you...
