MBOX 2 PRO w/ Imac = Static!?!?!?!...help

I have an MBOX 2 Pro that is hooked to my IMAC. It has been working fine until yesterday. I turned on the computer and for some reason, all i hear is static when music is played in either Pro Tools or ITunes. I Plugged the MBOX into my macbook and it works fine, so it's obvious that there is something wrong with the IMAC. Could it be something with the firewire port? Is there something i'm forgetting to install?...please help!!! thanks

I don't know if anyone has help you out yet, but I was having the same problem until I looked at my usb hub and saw that it wasn't plugged into the wall socket. Evidently, the M-Box should be plugged directly into the CPU or into a usb hub with good fashioned ac.
