I'm looking for a site where I can get some tiled backgrounds for a website. Everything I've googled for has been horrible 90's and cheesy. I'm looking for something like this:

http://mnjordan.com/journal205/

Only I can't use this background, because it was taken from another photographer's website. I know this is kind of random but does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Well you could always make your own with something like Gimp or Photoshop. It doesn't take a lot of time and you wouldn't have to worry about copyrights. I once made a scrolling background using an animated gif of trees like the file selection screen from the Secret of Mana game. Was quite neat, but a little annoying after a while. I don't really suggest animated backgrounds by the way, it was just a fun thing to try. There should be tutorials for using Gimp/Photoshop to make tiles so try searching for that as well.

design backgrounds yourself

Try to design backgrounds yourself on http://bgpatterns.com, it take just couple minutes to make something decent and ready to use. However site loads slow sometimes from my experience.
