hi i a new to mac leopard

can you please tell me how to disable sharing
i m using wireless
and evrytime i conect to IT i see a folder shared with couple of ppl.
do they see my files?

please help ?
how also do i turn on the firewall?

By default, file sharing is turned off but you can check in the Sharing Preference pane in System Preferences. The firewall settings are under Security in System preferences.
