I have a very strange problem: there is a certain file in my trash that sticks when it is empty (with the 'filled' icon), disappears when you choose 'show info' and reappears the moment you open the trash. It is an alias to nowhere and quick look shows the empty rounded square. The name of the file first looked like little lightning flashes but in quicklook you can see it bigger, and the 'letters' are actually the letters nul written in a \ shape.

Can anyone explain something to me?

preferably how to get rid of it?

I have just experienced this too. While in WinXP (via bootcamp), i deleted some aliases on the desktop before immediately rebooting into Leopard and now i see this file in my trash. The trash empties fine, except for this file that doesn't seem to exist.

yeah, that first one was mine, although I did forget about it, since the problem went away on its own.

Don't you normally get warnings warnings when someone replies to your topic there?

Not sure, I don't post on there much. You'd think it would send out an e-mail warning.

Speaking of Ghosts.

How about a GHOST MENU BAR?

I basically woke my MBP from sleep and the menu bar vanished...

😱 Do you have any hacks or anything installed? You could try logging off and logging back in, that should clear it up. Weird.

no hacks, no software work arounds nothing...

it's the first time it has ever happened, couldn't logout for some reason.. was force to shut down and restart. odd. i thought.. perhaps it might have something to do with skype?
