I am looking for better earbuds for my iphone, has anyone tried the BOSE In-Ear Headphones with it yet? I am concerned that I would have to use a blade to take extra rubber off so it fits into the iphone jack.

Well - you could always buy an adapter. But the mod to the plug is easy. I just used a nail file and rounded the bottom area of the plug just enough so it fits in the iPhone. Took two minutes and now the fit is amazingly snug and secure.

I love the sound - the bass is loud and crisp.

Actually with these all you have to do is trim about 1mm of extra plastic from the plug area, I did it using a small file and just worked it around about a dozen times, you could also easily use a bit of fine grit sandpaper wrapped around the plastic bit.

Actually the newest version of the Bose IE works with the iPhone straight out of the box. They made the plug angled and small enough to fit the recessed port.

Check it out:

They also make the Bose Triport OE with a built-in mic, called the Bose Mobile or something.
