Try this:
http://www.slovix.com/touchfree/jailbreak.jar
Replace the Conceited software jailbreak folder (it is labeled as #1) with the above. It should work with a PPC. The original creator is working on a universal version. After the jailbreak in 1.1.1 and then the UPDATE to 1.1.2 use this file.

Click on the file itself. Forget the folder and other items in it.

Click on jailbreak.jar without copying it into the "1" folder?

Correct. I edited my first post. You only need the jailbreak.jar file according to the original creator of it.

Thanks for the reply, but still no success - does not work.

Thank you dagored!! :D
I can confirm that the file works fine and I am now running a jailbroken 1.1.2 on a 16GB iPod touch. In case people are interested, this was done on a Mac Mini G4 1.5 Ghz running Leopard OS X.
I don't know if it was necessary, but I also had the file "libreadline.5.2.dylib" within the opt/local/lib folder that was placed at the root of my drive.
Thanks again for this.

So it seems it does not work with Tiger, just with Leopard?

If it helps, the version of Java I am running is J2SE 5.0, but I'm sure Tiger already has that. I don't believe Leopard itself makes the job easier.

Wow! I got it! :)
I can confirm all the above. The jar file + opt in root is all you need.
G5 here with Leopard 10.5.1.
Thanks to all the geniuses behind that!

I don't suppose someone here would like to re-do this thread so that anyone reading it understands what their suppose to do. If this is the solution to hacking 1.1.2 on a PPC Mac then its great, but reading through it has left me going .... what ???
Thanks!

click on "resources" while inside installer app
then click "add"
type in "repo.us.to" and add
allow the list to restore, and then u will find the apps inside installer
