Actually, this week I am simply taking off work and doing NOTHING, as I didn't feel like going back to work right away. ;) The actual honeymoon isn't until mid-November, when we're off for a couple weeks to Hawaii. :cool: So, for now, I am just at home so I do have some time for MacRumors when I am not lavishing attention on my lovely new bride.

I got the boot off about two weeks ago. It's fine now. Wearing a boot up to your nee is like a log attached to your leg. I was very glad when I got it off.


I know the feeling, I broke my foot this summer, and had a Caste on my foot for 2 weeks, and had to walk in a boot for 1.

My doc was surprised how fast I healed. I told him what my diet is, and how much milk I drink. I was able to heal 3 broken Metatarsals in only 2 weeks enough to walk on them!..

I will try to avoid crashing my Dirtbike from now on, but it is WAY too fun of a sport to give up ! :D

I've found that a number of photos posted previously in this thread are at URLs that no longer work.

I recommend to all who post here that you use post attachments, not links to photos elsewhere, because of their three advantages:
You don't have to remember to keep the photo or photo collection wherever it resides.


The photo stays in this thread and in the Photo Directory even if you change your home page, drop your .mac account, or remove or move your photo collection elsewhere.


A thumbnail is generated automatically when the photo is large.

Note: If your photo is very large, posting a link to it rather than attaching it to a post gets around the limit on the size of an attachment, but that limit is there for a reason, to keep people from having so much data returned when they display a forum page, so resizing it before attaching it is a service to other members. iPhoto and Preview are two of many programs that can resize images.

Yes, we're slowly going through all of them (there are a lot!) and deciding which ones to make part of our main collection, and then geittng our photographer to professionally touch them up and all that. Hopefuly in a week or so I'll have some great ones to post! Sorry for the delay my dear, you'll just have to be patient. :cool:

I have no clue what Camera it was taken with... but, I scaned it with my HP OfficeJet 7110 at 300x300 dpi. It needed so work in Photoshop... the colors didn't trun out so good.

PS- I love Lacoste :)

Alright, as requested, here is my first go at our Wedding Photos!!! Now these were taken from our online viewing gallery as provided to us by the photographer, so they aren't the actual full images, just the resized ones he had posted. As I said earlier, we'll be receiving every photo in full quality on a CD, and any photos we want prints of, he'll do, as well as retouching selected photos we like in Photoshop, etc. So, the finished products will be a bit nicer and much better quality, but these will at least give you all an idea of the festivities. ;)

Out of all of our (hundreds of) images, I selected about 50 which I have posted in an online photo album on Yahoo! photos. This will do for now, as I realize it may not be the best site, etc. :o There were too many to choose from, so I tried to get a good sampling of things. And, as I described beforehand, our ceremony and everything was pretty simply and intimate, so there wasn't a lot to take pictures of in some respects. ;) As for the reception, they were just photos taken by my brother and sister-in-law, as we didn't have the photographer for that.

Oh, and the very last photos were taken from our Engagement Photo session. We had a couple in the park and downtown, however for something different, we also thought we'd get some pictures done in the gym. ;)

No worries - it is an RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) uniform - it's called Red Surge. The RCMP is our federal police up here, and the main training facility for the entire country is here in Regina. He is actually the head firearms instructor of the RCMP, and competes in shooting, marksmanship, accuracy, etc. competitions all the time. In fact, for the past, well, over ten years at least, he has been awarded the Top Shot of all of North America - the best marksman in the entire continent! He has quite the trophy collection!

Heh - thanks, the photographer threw that one in and thought I'd like it. ;) And actually, Pam is the one who turned me onto the gym, and completely revamping and overhauling my lifestyle when we met. So the gym was more of her idea than anything! She usually goes more often than me as well. :eek:

Cool. I have had a few relatives who were Mounties. It's an honorable profession.

Yes, indeed. This year was an especially important year for my Father-in-Law, as 4 Mounties were slain in an ambush several months ago - all officers which he trained at one point, one as recently as a couple months prior to his death. It was the largest single loss of life for the Force in quite some time, so the annual RCMP Memorial Parade they hold in September had an extra impact this year.

Okay, that answered my next question. It looked, well, old and really cool.

Yep, you're right - how very observant and astute of you! It is indeed my Iron Ring which I received when I obtained my degree in Electronics Systems Engineering (and a Minor in Computer Science I might add!). I am also now a Professional Engineer, which here in Canada is considered a professional designation, like lawyers, doctors, etc. - so I can sign passports and the whole thing! It's pretty cool. :cool:

Heh heh - yeah, that's my cousin Adam. He really wanted to attend the ceremony and reception, but got called into work. So, he tried really hard, worked some magic, and was able to show up for the ceremony, albeit straight from work. ;) He rushed off right afterwards too and wasn't able to make the reception, but we really appreciated his effort. :)

Yep, we planned that one from the start - we knew it would turn out amazing and be an excellent keepsake. One of the many benefits of having a smaller wedding as well, we could organize a big group picture like that without too much hassle.

ah yeah, i was dancing with my sister there, she has taken classes for about 18 years so im not quite as good of a dancer as she is, but we were swing dancing in the pictures, and i love to swing dance, so i was pretty focused on that, i need to to find a swing club aourd here (the dancing kind)

I just went with my friend to the tattoo parlour to get her first tattoo, and it was a big one in a sensitive area (from near her ass and then down her side under her arm......not as big as you'd imagine from my description, but quite big), and she was in a lot of pain the entire time. Very brave of her. :o

I wouldn't mind the perky breasts and amazing features of my avatar (assuming we are talking more than just hair ;) ) but it would take some getting used to. Perhaps I am just blind to her flaws but I find her lovely in a not-madeup type of way. I would do it, if it were free and reversible.

I have often thought living the life of the opposite sex for a day/week/month would be quite the learning experience and help me to respect them in a whole new way. If I actually had to go outside though :rolleyes: :D

It's a term that Quagmire uses in Family Guy whenever he hears anything that refers to sex, or ambiguously refers to sex, but probably not. ;) Sorry I wasn't being clear. The post I quoted probably had a sexual innuendo in it. For example, if you go into the Buyers Advice forum and you see a thread entitled, "Is 17 inches too large?" you'll know what I mean. :p


- The 1st photo is of me after having not shaved for 5 days (yeah, asian with facial hair....)

- The 2nd photo is of me in Taipei 2 weeks ago.

- The 3rd photo is a burger I bought at McDonalds in Taipei. It tastes like a "Philly Cheese steak" except without the cheese, and they replaced the bun with 2 soft, warm rice patties. It was very very good. :)
