Awesome shirt!! That's so cool, where'd you get it? I want one now :D
I made it! :):)
I'm so proud of myself. I was arty for about an hour.
Fabric paint, a stencil, and some perseverance. I did it! It's a little lopsided, but it's OK! :D
(I'm making a dogcow one later. Also a google. blank shirts were on sale.)

Some people just look too nice. I'm jealous.
Your door's lock uses skeleton keys? It looks too new for that. I don't think a door in the U.S.A. has used that kind of locking mechanism for 50 or 60 years.

I took this picture fairly recently (as in, here in Germany) so that would explain the door thing. Old fashioned, but I really like them anyway. I'm really horrible with directions, plus I was interested, so I looked up where Großer Gleichberg and Gleichberg are. Birkenfeld is 48° 52? N, 08° 38? O, and Gleichberge is 50° 23' N, 10° 53' O... Taking an educated guess, It's not too far off? Never was too good with coordinate points though

crickey, that must have been some "really good shiiiite" she was using if she got busted by the feds for it. :p did you get your set finished?
alas, no, it's not a matter of bad influence that inspires me to get acrylics... it is the simple fact that i am a nail biter and without acrylics my fingers look like little chewed up stumps. :o they are pink and whites though, very observant devilot! i've had them for about 2 or 3 years now, i love them. i'm really hard on my acrylics so the fact that the acrylic itself is pink and white makes life a lot easier for me. (no re-paints when i inevitably ding them) fascinating how they apply it too. my husband saw part of me getting a back-fill and he knew that my nail lady really earned her money. :p my nails are the one majory girly treat i allow myself to have.

Edit: I think I'm on to something. I googled and found this:
If it wasn't for the baseball cap this 'runt of the litter' wouldn't look like a proper chavster at all. I mean really, how pathetic is the 'wesside' hand gesture and the frail looking birdie he's flicking?

Nice pics. :) The one of Ios brings back some great memories for me - I simply loved the Greek Islands, especially Santorini and Crete. Actually, I found the Islands to be much better than mainland Greece itself - I found Athens to be extremely filthy.
Where all in Europe did you travel? Having traveled through Europe myself, I'm just curious to hear your impressions. Personally, I found Central and Eastern Europe to be nicer than Western Europe - places like Prague, Czesky Krumlov, Krakow, Budapest, Warsaw, Vienna - simply amazing. And such rich, fascinating history as well. Although I liked Western Europe as well, don't get me wrong, I guess I just found it to be a lot more touristy and commercialized. Plus, everyone always seems to go there, and I always like to take the road less-traveled, get away from the tourist traps and "think different".

Thanks for the reply. Ios was the only island we went to in Greece, but when I go back I definitely want to go to more of the islands. For historical purposes, I liked Athens more because of the ruins that I visited. For relaxation, baking in the sun and partying, the islands are much better :)
I traveled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Athens, Ios, Patras (Greece), Naples, Venice, Florence, Rome and Vatican City.
It was a great trip, and can't wait to go back to Europe. I am currently exploring the possibilities of living in London for a while.

I agree about the partying. The thing with the whole "history" that is in Athens though, is that everywhere you see, "This is a replica/reconstruction. The original is located at the British Museum". On my last visit to London I saw more Greek history there than I did in Greece! They have more of the original Acropolis in the British Museum than they do in Athens itself! :D

I am not fond of the high cost of living, pollution and weather of London, but it would be an interesting city to experience living in. Definitely not my favorite world capital, I wouldn't put it in the same books as New York, Singapore, Sydney and a few others, but cool nonetheless.

Here are two recent ones of me. Both are from last month.
The last time I had long hair was 1997-1998. My hair isn't yet as long as I want it but at least it's starting to cooperate.

I just did up this comparison graphic for something else and I was reminded that while I posted the photo on the right here before, I never posted the photo on the left. That is a before/after comparison of when I decided to get my butt in gear and lose weight. took about 4-5 months of extremely hard work, but I think it was worth it.

The "I'm so pissed off I can't smile" look went out a decade ago, man. :D
(And, from your .sig... You have a 12' PowerBook!? MAN! That's 144"! How can you fit that on your desk, much less your lap? :p )
Oh, and here's a recent playful attempt with PhotoBooth...
I tried to get it so that the windowblinds and ceiling line behind me were level, but just couldn't get it to work. Makes me look creepy. (The lighting helps, there.)

Tell me your secret man i gained a few working at this mexican joint and trying to get my "rated R" body back;)
no really secret, I just worked my butt off, literally :p
to start it was something like this, everyday rain or shine for over 2 months:
-wake up 6am, put on running shoes while half asleep, go out and run for an hour.
-come back and do situps and pushups, as many as i could manage before I collapsed hungry and our of breath on the floor. stretch then eat breakfast
-in the afternoon I'd usually run myself through basketball drills for at least an hour. this included a bunch of shooting, but also suicide sprints and that sort of thing
-after supper I'd usually find something active to do. depending on the day it would either be going out for a walk for a couple hours with my camera, play more basketball or going running again for 30-50 minutes.
-before bed I'd do more pushups, or some days I'd lift a couple dumbbells I have. get to bed at a good hour because you know you've got to get right back up the next morning to do it again.
those are the basics. I don't think I really changed my diet much, I figured when you're doing a minimum of 2-4 hours of heavy activity in a day you can probably manage to burn off whatever you were eating
(oh and I experimented with subliminal messages. I researched a bit and made my own CD that I listened to on a loop the whole night while I was asleep. it was about weight loss and athletic performance. maybe it worked? who knows. I always was tempted to slap that before and after photo on it and sell it on an infomercial for 29.95 ;) )

From the comparison photos you posted, it's quite a remarkable physical transformation.
How much weight did you lose?
kwajo.com
Mar 8, 2006, 12:06 PM
I was 6'1" and a bit over 220 at my peak weight, I got it down to 180 in 2 months, lost another 20-25 over the next two months, got all the way down to 155. so I lost 65 lbs total. At that point I was disturbed by how small I had gotten so I started working on building muscle, and have worked up to around 170 of healthy weight now, and as I said, am very very happy about the change. :)
