Are you calling me a noobist?:D
I'm not picking on you, it's just that when I saw your picture the way it was lit just screamed 'detached head' and I thought I'd break out my crayons and have some fun.

Why do I have to have Slavic forebars, though? Egad! The round/wide face plus the growing eyebrow bone sucks, the brillo hair is annoying (I break the teeth off of combs!) and the oily skin is no fun during my teenage years...

Its so interesting you say this, you know, even the most beautiful people think they aren't attractive all the time.
I didn't notice your brow bone, I think you should always remember people never pay as much attention as you do, and they probably would never have picked it out.
For all the people in the world that like straight black hair, there are girls who swoon over 'brillo pads' its all perception..

Awesome pictures! Also, very good on using your voice and speaking out! I really wanted to go protest out at Bush's ranch earlier this year, but my parents said no. They county has passed an unconstitutional law making it now against the law to stand that close to the ranch to protest. Anyhow, when I do get a chance to go to some protests, I will certainly take pictures, and certainly hope to make a difference.

That would be "hiding" it well. My most recent girlfriend had a thing for nerds and liked how I could shut anybody down who told me Windows was better than Mac OS X and probably still work at Abercrombie if I wanted to get paid minimum wage. The key is to combine the looks of non-nerds and the intelligence of the real nerds. I'll be working a second job at Hollister this summer purely for the employee discount. My other job's $50/hour makes Hollister's minimum wage look pretty crappy.

I mean, your sunglasses are like, really ... facing upward.
And not serving any sort of protective function.
because guys dont carry purses.
& i know i dont carry them in my pocket because i hate it when theres a bunch of crap in my pocket, & they also might get smashed.
but if my sunglasses get smashed on my head...
well so will my head.

You two are such a cute couple! And if that is your baby in that photo, what a cutie. How can you ever say no to a face like that? :p
And your clothing-- was it your choice to wear red? Or does that have symbolic meaning? And was it to celebrate your marriage? Sorry for all the questions... :o
No prob about the questions. :) His mom and most of his side of the family are Hindu while my family, Neil and his dad are Mormon so we had two ceremonies--Mormon temple ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. The temple ceremony was on a Friday, and then the Hindu ceremony and reception was the next day. So we actually have the typical American wedding style pictures, too. Red is the color that Hindu brides wear, hence the choice of the red clothing. Our reception was Indian-style (which is SO much fun :) ) so I wore more Indian clothing for that, too, rather than the traditional white. White in the Hindu and Muslim cultures is the sign of mourning so it wouldn't have been appropriate to wear to the Hindu ceremony. :D
EDIT: The little girl is, unfortunately, not our own. That is our little niece whom Neil absolutely adores and who adores him when we come to visit. My sister threatened/kidded that he couldn't come back until her daughter liked her mom more than she liked Neil. :D

Congratulations to floriflee and nbs2 for two reasons:
First of all, for the great photos.
Second, for being the members who put the MacRumors Members Photo Directory over the 1000 mark!
As of today, the Directory has photos for 434 MacRumors members and has 1010 photo links. I count "photo links" instead of "photos" because some links lead to multiple images.
The Directory began here on October 13, 2003 (31 months ago).
Here are the milestones I noted along the way:Oct 2003: 100 members
Jan 2004: 147 members and 235 photo links
Mar 2004: 154 members and 250 photo links
Sep 2004: 200 members and 357 photo links
Dec 2004: 232 members and 400 photo links
Jan 2005: 234 members and 404 photo links
Mar 2005: 250 members and 436 photo links
Jul 2005: 282 members and 500 photo links
Aug 2005: 300 members and 546 photo links
Sep 2005: 315 members and 600 photo links
mysterious multi-month gap with no updates (yokatta koto!)
Dec 2005: 355 members and 777 photo links
Apr 2006: 400 members and 923 photo links
May 2006: 434 members and 1010 photo linksThe rate of growth has accelerated over the last 10 months. Here's a graph for those who prefer pictures to numbers.

I have to ask if you don't mind:
Were your husband's parents stubborn at first when he wanted to marry you? My girlfriend is Bengali, from Bangladesh, and her parents believe in tradition, arranged marraiges and the such. While I'm still young, I can seriously see myself with her years down the road, and I'm wondering if it's difficult to sway the parents and convince them to break the mold.
Thanks.

The MacRumors Members Photo Directory was not updated for a couple of days because of MacRumors server changes, but it's now back in full bloom with all the latest. Since the collection has grown, it's now been expanded to 25 posts. The next time a post overflows (which is destined to happen eventually), the Directory will no longer fit on a single forum page with the default of 25 posts per page.
Handy tip: If forum pages are too short or long for your taste, you can change the number of posts displayed per page in the Thread Display Options section of your forum options (http://forums.macrumors.com/profile.php?do=editoptions).

One word responses are idiotic.
Why is this so? Some times a simple yes or no is the idealistic response.
Why must we be forced to say things like-
"Yes! absolutely. couldnt say no to that."
-or-
"No, I would never answer yes to that question."

How about earning one word responses similar to the avatar?
I can see the need to police newbies and others who would just be trying to increase their ratio.
After that I see no harm..
NOTE FOR BELOW POST:
Thanks Doctor Q. Now back to members pics....

We interrupt this picture thread to reply to the comment about the rules.
Some times a simple yes or no is the idealistic response.A yes or no that answers a question (e.g., "Does the new MacBook come with Photo Booth?") is fine, but one-word posts that result from a lack of thought (it takes only seconds to type LOL and click Submit) are against the rules because they are so common and so often not worth reading. That's also why we don't have a "Quick Reply" forum feature that would encourage people to make small rapid posts. We're trying to encourage discussion, not chat.
The rule isn't perfect, but it reflects the tradeoff between letting people post whatever they want and making the forums worth reading. When people are encouraged to say "I found your post to be quite amusing" instead of "LOL", they are also likely to add more information ("I found your post to be amusing because..."). Increased verbiage isn't automatically more valuable, and anybody can "cheat" by avoiding one-word posts without really adding meaning, but length does roughly correlate with the effort put into posting something worth reading.
My reply isn't about freeny's or anyone else's posts in particular, nor this thread in particular, but about everyone's in general. But, since it came up here, I'm taking the opportunity to explain the purpose of the rule again.
And now back to the picture thread already in progress.

I LOVEEEE THE SOUNDS!:D I've met them twice and have both albums signed by all the band members. If you saw them on Jimmy Kimmel you probably saw me singing bouncing along like a big ol' loser. :p
And Amoba is amazing, I could spend all day in there. BTW, where do you go to school?
