Anyone remember "Sticky Bear Math".

I am thinking of a Mac OS game from like 3rd grade that had to do with Math and Race Cars. After getting a certain number of math equations right you would make money, buy a race car, and race it. There was an old version where the car would race for you, but in the newer version you could drive the car yourself.

OMG STICKY BEAR MATH! Making me remember my youngin days LOL

mad jew, ishane's got it right. as for the white text, no comment. :D i couldn't even stay on the board when i first started, but i ended up getting pretty good (in my opinion). its good fun if you can get the hang of it. if you cant get the hang of it, its good fun for everybody else. ;)

Its a knock of David Hasselhoff's Pontiac named "Kip".

Oregon trail- what a great game. To Markkk, its Oxen, not donkeys. I Have a copy to the game somewhere, but I can't find it. It was a windows version and it was like version 4 or something.

Its not "Turbo Math Facts" but its something like that. I'll ask my sisters friends mom, she's an elementary school teacher.

Sticky Bear math was from 1st grade!!! Playing on those AIO PowerMac desktops.

:D Wow! How exactly do you tell if it's false colour or not then?1. The false color ones are extremely off-color, so my inability to distinguish certain colors (like blue vs. violet) doesn't stop me from noticing when things are complete off kilter, like this one. In other words, the effects aren't subtle enough to confuse me.

2. I probably get 'em wrong sometimes and nobody minds.

I signed up about 12 hours too late this year and did not actually get into the race. Mayhaps next year (or New York's or Madison's).

Chicago is just great - flat, the weather is usually cool, good crowds - and then that last hill at the end - bastards. :)

New York is not to be missed, although I tend to to the crappiest there. I've run it twice and both were my second to worst times.

Big Sur is also one that every marathoner should do. That one is the toughest thing I have ever done.

Philly is meh, although I ran my two best times there and Delaware suxxorz, but its close so I used to always run it.

Marine Corps is overated.

Cheers.

Wow, thats a really good time!!! Thats 16.71km/hr or 10.38miles/hr, amazing!

How long did you train or how much do you run?
It'd quality for Boston, but actually that's about a 7 min./mile (6.59) or about 9 miles per hour. Anyway, I ran coming off an injury (knee) and had to do the last month's workout in the gym with weights. I'd had a good base of 6 months running, with at least one long run (15+miler) a week, before the injury. This one included a dash behind bushes for a pee stop at 15.

Only once? I'm usually so loaded up with water that I remember getting off the busses for the NYC Marathon nearly unable to walk. Hundred of runners line up on the Verrazano Narrows bridg abotu mile 2 to take a leak off the bridge. :D

Are you still runnig, or did your injury put you out of it?

I had back surgery in the fall and gained a ton of weight, but am hopng to get back into it for next fall's season. :)

Did you have knee surgery, or was it sciatic problems, too? So, has that just temporarily set you back? Seems like this would be a good, seasonal time to get back out and gradually walk your way back to running, again. Aside from the free motion and fresh air, the natural endorphin highs after a good workout are a good thing.

Actually I detatch my digits before I race, it is safer that way! :)

On the subject of knees, they are fine. You would be surprised what the suspension can absorb. I wear protective gear for riding that includes, Knee braces (protects knee from hyper extension, and impact), Chest protector, boots, helmet, and good gloves.

I think my Sholders, arms and legs get the most abuse on these events. I had no idea you had to be so athletic doing this sport when I started in 2001.

This is just making wish the desert season was here already. Guess I'll just have to wait another month or so.

What you don't ride year round?

its pretty cold here in melbourneThat's odd. All this time I thought things were warming up for you (http://www.melbourneaustralia.com.au/visitorguide/climate/) as we started Fall and approached Winter here in California. ;) Of course, you didn't say it was a recent picture.

It'll be hard for you to top the picture you posted earlier where you are drawing a letter Q with a flaming torch (http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/972/peterfireiz9.png)! ;) ;)

That looks pretty low - ~2,000 feet?

It's actually 3500 feet, but the camera makes it look different than it looked to my eye. Where I went, beginners jump at 3500 feet, and your cord is pulled for you pretty quickly. Later, you get to go from 11000 feet, and get some free fall in.

Regardless, cool angle and tone on the photo. It looks like a really old photo!

Stupid special effects messing with a 28 year old's mind!

Just out of curiosity, why 2 watches?

Oh, crap I didn't see this.

One is my total elapsed time, one is for each mile segment.

I sometimes use one for walk breaks.

someone jumping off of stage... it was crazy, just youtube "Alexisonfire thunder bay" and you'll see. I was far to drunk to remember what song it happened on, but it was a wicked show. yet, a have in the video on youtube, but can't really see me as it's crappy quaility.

I'm thinking it was the person in this video at around 1:35...

Yeh tell me about it. All this health and safety shizzle, and then the council goes cutting stone with one of those spinning blade thingies right outside the chemist without any fencing. Tiny piece of stone flies up and hits me about 2 mm from my eye. I went straight to my dad's store (opticians luckily) which was about 20 m away. Apparently if it had actually hit my eye, I would have permanently lost eyesight in that eye!
