I work at my university. I'm a Physics lab technician. I set up labs for the department, fix broken components, and other misc. tasks.
Your labs has those half-walls? Looks like a tall room! My labs never looked like that at any uni, although I definitely believe it (I'm a Medical Physics PhD student).

Actually, I'd say that the labs at the uni I'm attending now are too organised. It's never that organised and perfect in real life.
