A little too heavy on the make-up (her of course! ) but otherwise not bad! ;)
I trust you had a great time at the prom? What are your plans now?

Good for you - you gotta do what you love. Life is too short to be stuck in a job you hate day after days for years on end.
Okay, I'm usually the one taking the pictures, so I don't have a lot of myself. This is me with my family at my birthday last month:

Dang, Shard, you're a handsome fellow. Nice watch. Although when I see it, all I can think of is the plethora of Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com/) comics where one of the protagonists is killed by the other for their watch.
I really need to get a newer picture taken of myself.

Thanks! I forgot to mention with your picture (aside from the fact that you've got nice taste in clothing) that I'm amazed that, as a single guy, you're keeping those plants alive  :D
Or is your fiancé responsible for that? :p

Yes, well, I only wear that get-up when I'm in the courtroom... (and that probably makes no sense to anyone who hasn't seen Harvey Birdman... ;))

Thanks Cless. :) The watch is a Wittnauer, amazing quality and very nice... And thanks for the advice, I'll watch my back so no one kills me for it... :p ;) (couldn't resist the pun....)

Guilty as charged - my fiancé gets all the credit for having the green thumb in our relationship. ;)
And thanks for the compliment on the clothing, what can I say, I always try to look my best. :)

No wonder you talked about modeling before, you have a very interesting face. A level of mystery, it doesn't look like you show everything and it leads there to be more....nicely done (if you have control over it :p, otherwise just nice I guess).

Thanks for the comments efoto. :) Yes, as I said before, I do acting and modeling on the side, so I guess that helps when it comes to posing and projecting "a look". ;)
As for the fiancé, I'll find a good picture of her/us and post it in the near future (I'm at work right now, no access to my photos). I don't think she'll mind. ;)
What about yourself efoto? Have you posted a pic recently, as I don't think I've seen any...

I finally get around to posting a recent picture of me (including facial hair  ). Me on the left, in the Sox hat and specs. On the right is Jordan Rudess (http://jordanrudess.com), (****ing AMAZING!) keyboardist for the band Dreamtheater. He played some stuff at my school a few months back. Nice guy, insanely amazing on anything with (or resembling) a keyboard instrument.
A link to the pic (http://homepage.mac.com/counterfit/pics/jordananme.jpg) would be nice eh?

Heh heh - I've posted a couple before. But I was just making that comment in response to Diatribe's post, where he made it sound as though I was shamelessly posting more pics of myself just to make mention of my modeling, etc., when in fact (this time at least!) it was you who made comments to that nature with regards to my latest pic. No worries, it's all good. :)

Well there are a few NSFW images that just won't go up, but also the problem with my before/after argument, same thing I am struggling with now.
Normally I shave my head in the summer, and grow it out nearly all winter/early-spring long not only to save money but to moderate body temperature :p and increase ease during those seasons. Since I was in France and not confident I could communicate well enough with a hairstylist here, I decided just to wait until I get home to shave it all off. So once I get home I will post a "before and after" setup with pre-shaven and post-shaven cranium shots, then you can all let me know what you like better....not that I will really care, but it could prove interesting.
I also have to start working out again when I get back and lose some weight :p, but I'm not taking pictures of that

Exactly - we do this all the time, and share each other's sense of humor. :)
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I seem to recall once, a while ago, we started enaging in a discussion that, although fun and innocent since we are familiar with each other, was interpreted by another member as "fighting", when in fact we were joking around - that member actually reported it and our posts were removed! Ah, good times... ;)

Not laughing, question actually. I'm curious, that ring you have on your right hand....any significance or just a ring you happen to be wearing?
That three-ring inter-twine ring is a common French style wedding band....but seeing it on your right hand makes me wonder....

Takes a lot of quotes to explain that. :D

Some cultures do wear the ring on their right hand. It's also the hand that left handed people prefer to wear rings on (I believe).

Some cultures do wear the ring on their right hand. It's also the hand that left handed people prefer to wear rings on (I believe).
Did not know that about the cultural thing, although I have heard of a few lefties wearing it on the right hand.
I guess in my ignorance I always just assumed it was a left-handed thing, regardless of preference. Like a watch, always on the left hand (curse you right-wristed watch bearers!)
cheekyspanky
Jul 11, 2005, 10:39 AM
I've never been able to wear a watch on my left wrist, I hate it, but I don't really know why!
Always worn it on the right, and I'd rather go without than wear it on the left!
Weird eh!
cheekyspanky
Jul 11, 2005, 10:56 AM
I'm right handed as well, so the watch gets scraped over desks etc a lot.
When I eat I always have the fork in my right hand and knife in the left which is also the wrong way around apparently.

Left hand is "normal" for male/female married couples in the U.S. a majority of gay men will wear their bands on the right hand, kind of a show of being different, I guess.

Other than that, very tired due to that time difference, really hit me hard today with that 8AM 2hr lecture, and total I have six hours of lecture today , not the easiest of starts. I'll survive.
Dinner and another class (6-8 lecture) and then I'll post another pic with some gorgeous gals for you all :D

Well the "pain" is more or less just frustration in knowing a lot of great people and the feeling of not finding one for myself, otherwise being surrounded by nice looking females all the time doesn't bother me. I actually had to explain that to my grandmother one time, because she saw me at a restaurant with one girl on Friday evening (family was eating out there....I skipped oops) and then she happened to be at the mall shopping Saturday afternoon and saw me with another girl. She called Saturday around dinnertime and expressed her concern for my choices :D

Those cannot be French girls, you must have gone to an English bar or something!!! Most French women rug up like they are walking in the Artic after La Retournee - even in bars.
Dammit, I'm just jealous that I never got to meet girls like that in the Frog and Rosbif when I lived in Paris a good few years ago :(
Good to see some faces to tags. Where in France were you based? I lived in Paris (the 5th) and worked in La Defense, and spent WAY too many evenings in the Frog and a Munchener Stuberl I found in the 2nd Arr.

the opening title credits of Holy Grail co-credited several fictional directors, including "40 specially trained Ecuadorian Mountain llamas, 6 Venezuelan Red Llamas, 148 Mexican Whooping Llamas, 14 North Chilean Guanacos (closely related to the llama), Reg Llama of Brixton, and 76000 Battery Llamas from 'Llama Fresh Farms Ltd' near Paraguay"

Actually many people have called me "metrosexual" and I have no problems with that. The primary definition, and the one I go by, is "a man who takes care of himself, cares about his physical appearance, fashion, etc. but is not gay" - and that fits me pretty much bang on. I stay healthy and fit, take good care of myself, try to be "fashion-conscious" and always like looking my best. And honestly, I don't see anything wrong with that!

Sorry for all the late replies....so this will be a mass answer, more than likely in reverse order as I remember things I have just read up on recently most, here goes:
Agreed that the term "metro" isn't a bad thing. I have on occsasion, usually dressy occasion and in the winter months (I don't dress well in the summer apparently :p), been called a metrosexual mostly because I have and like to wear nice clothes, enjoy the occasional peticure, and have a ton of female friends (although the last one I don't get being metro  ).
Nice photos of you and the m(r)s. ~Shard~, you two look like a happy couple. Ahh love....nevermind.
Back a bit to Sharewaredemon, doesn't bother me that you think I look a little French, but it probably bothers all the French :D. I didn't stand out as much as other Americans in the area, however I still look a bit different when directly compared.
Back further to someone....sorry, I forgot who....the picture of me with the three fem-pimps was not in France, they are Americans and friends of mine ;), photo was taken during halloween hence the costumes (no they do not always dress that way  ).
That about covers all I can remember.
Oh, is everyone having trouble seeing images I post linked off my site? or just a select few? Don't rough up the thread about it, but if you wouldn't mind troubling yourself, send me a PM and let me know, thanks.

I especially liked the last line about "male vanity products and herpes" being a quantity example for metrosexuals, quite funny. Also the visual I semi-formed about having sex on the metro was, well, disturbing. We don't have metro in GR and the ones I have been on in other cities don't exactly scream "romance" by any definition of the word.

Look at what iGary has sarted.... ;) Actually, it's made for great laughs, so it's all good... :)

Read a few posts up, I think Shard caught on to what I was hinting at about my impression of those who post semi-revealing photos like that....but I don't want to blatantly state it because I really don't want to offend anyone. It is okay (at best), I just don't prefer it and have a few ideas about those who do....thats all.
As far as paying for the fight....mostly so I could see the two of you dog it out, but other than that, there just wasn't anything interesting on TV at the time so you two sounded entertaining

I always put off posting a picture of myself when I was younger, or even putting my birth year in my profile for fear of people "looking down" on me because of my age. That is... until the whole iPod suit thing happened (I made an iPod suit, then posted a most embarrassing picture of myself in it on here :O). I recently put my birth year back up, thinking, "Meh... I'll let people make judgments on me based on the quality (or lack-thereof) of my posts, not my age."
And I certainly didn't want that crappy iPod costume photo to be the only one in Doctor Q's directory!

Thanks, guys. The kids get lots of looks over here. It's the mixed thing, I guess. My wife would absolutely kill me if I threw a picture of her up for thousands to peruse. She's cute, too. ('Course, what am I supposed to say?)
I've been over here in Korea for nearly ten years and coordinate the English program at a top-ten university. Mediocre pay. Lots of vacation time. Too bad I don't take trips as much as I used to, rather opting to teach in extra summer and winter programs. (Traveling with little kids is, well, let's just say it can be taxing at times. The pic on the beach is from Jan-Feb when we were visiting my folks in Panama City Beach, Florida-- a nice 6-week break.)

I'm 6'1", and my wife is 5'1" - so a pretty big difference (not all short people are asian, and not all asians are short :p ;) ). We've done okay with it, as we've been together for almost 12 years (almost married 10). It is awkward in certain situations, such as taking pictures, but generally there are no issues. In fact, it works out well, since I can reach things on top shelves for her, and she can see things on lower shelves for me :D
Her entire family is short - all under 5'4" except her brother at about 5'10". I'm not that tall, but I feel like a giant when I go anywhere with her and her parents...

Sometimes I love m life, other times I hate it. Right now, I just told my best friend to F off because she was being all jealous of me and Soo, and after that I feel a little crazy. I got called out to the bar (because that is who I always go out and it was fun(. I think women need to cool down and be more like Soo, because she is awesome.
Sorry, this is ridiculous because I am really influenced ATM, by some semi-decent whiskey. Lovely what women can do to you....but alas, that is the power they hold. I love spell check btw, awesome little thing someone created, makes posting UTI possible :D

Meaning what, which guy? Can you post a picture for comparison?
I think I know what you mean, but not really. Please show some evidence....
What do you all think of the korean? There were no posts about getting her number or anything....what gives?

Anyway, about that Korean chick, I'd do her, but considering how you two are close in that first photo, asking for her number is akin to asking for a menage a trois, which really is wierd, if you know what I mean. :p

Now now, don't go jumping to conclusions like efoto's best friend who got all jealous-- just because the two of them are out getting silly drunk together, and she's watching him twist his own nipple, doesn't necessarily mean that there is anything "serious" going on between the two of them. ;)

Apparently self nipple-twists, or actions looking like that, are "cute" or something, I don't know.
The only reason I asked bluntly what you all thought is because there was a lot of response to that French chick I posted, and personally I think this latest one is much cuter, however that could just be my preferences coming out I guess. Wow, that actually sounded kind of mean towards women there....sorry, didn't mean it that way.
As far as her and I....well things are just fun right now, no "real" stated relationship at the moment, but time will tell. I guess you have your chance to hop in and try Lacero, it'll probably be a little fight though, I'm not going to just potato-chip it on the couch and watch. I was never a fan of giving in easily ;)

Ah. There we go.
Time for bed. (Apparently there are new iBooks or something I should check out.)
Man, I hate the feeling that you KNOW you're going to have a hangover the next day. I hate that. OK. So my job is to find other teachers for vacation programs and this summer, we're very short. So, instead of teaching for 50 hours, I have to do 100 hours. Tomorrow, I have a 5-hour class...with the same students...who, by the way, just happen to be high school English teachers.
Maybe I should start a thread and pull an all-nighter.

No. North. The internet connection I have is great. I can't wait 'til we get more aid so I can stop eating this crappy rice. And rumor has it that, along with Paris, there's going to be a Pyongyang Apple store in 2007. And that top salespeople will get a 9-volt battery and a bowl of cold noodles each month as a sales incentive.
Sorry. I've been away from sarcasm for a while and had to let loose. ;)

Not the preference that was mean, just the referring to woman as "chicks", just trying to not offend anyone if you would prefer to be referred to as ladies or women or whatever....I hate PC language, but try it often just to not piss people off :)

I didn't try to turn this into dating, but it would be a sweet alternate thread to start up. I think it would have to be a non-post counter like Political though, but it could be fun if people went to visit where other member's live and they hooked them up.
