My Leopard is creepy

The new Spotlight was able to find messages to my ex-gf that I thought I'd lost a long time ago, six or seven years back. This is creepy (but not in a bad way). The spotlight on this beast is really, really good and is alone worth the price of upgrade! Tiger's Spotlight seems like an early alpha in comparison.

How bizarre. Were they kept in Mail?

Not to pry but where did it find them? Some sort of archive/backup?

They must have been in one of the subfolders that I imported to another version of mail a long time ago. At one point I tried to purposedly search for them in and could not find them and so deemed them lost. Leopard recovered them.

(This was intended as a rave about Leopard's spotlight) ;)

Oh yeah, I was just wondering the extent of Spotlight's searching abilities.
