can iPod Touch open up pdf's?

there is suppose to be a pdf reader via installer but I had no success when trying to view

Small sized PDFs via internet or the PDF Viewer. You can open up a page on Safari and just keep the tab open to access it while offline.

if you want to use safari to open up pdf files here is my option! :)

steps

1) jailbreak your itouch

2) install "APACHE" software to your itouch,

3) install "WinSCP" program to your computer (now assuming you already know how to get inside of your itouch!)

3) download the file I have uploaded called "pdf.zip" and install this to your itouch (by using similar method to install mail, google map)

*** you will see that when you click the pdf image installed in your itouch this will direct you to the default page, http://127.0.0.1/ . Where as originally it was http://localhost/. I made this adjustment because http://localhost/ didn't work 100% with me.

If you use OSX, filemark maker (http://www.insanelygreattees.com/news/?p=51) is awesome. Lets you view high res images and PDFs offline through bookmarks in safari (synced via iTunes) very very simple and easy to do.

OR you could go for the easiest solution ever (if your touch is jailbroken), email the PDF to yourself (I use my .mac account on the touch) and then click on the PDF attachment to open.

I would avoid filemark maker. I used it to sync a pdf to my touch, and every time I try to open Safari, it locks up for five minutes or so, then the touch resets.

I wanted something I could just simply load my PDF files (and other types) into my Ipod Touch and all I kept reading was how I had to upload thos, downloaad this, send this to myself etc. I was in despair.

59p later and I am so impressed I can barely wait to get off this forum and mess with this fantastic app some more. Put your PDF Docs onto your Ipod by wireless means (fast too) or by the USB cable. Either way, it's pain free and very impressive. :)

By the way, you don't have to Jailbreak your Ipod for this to work. Its so flexible and easy to use I'm wondering why this isn't part of the software that ships with the IPod?
