"sync photos with iTunes"??

Why does the new touch do this? why doesn't it sync with iPhoto? And how does it do this? I don't see a place for my photos in iTunes.

You sync your iPhoto Library to the iPod *through* iTunes. You would use the iPhoto app itself to manage your photos.
