Downgrade? :( Help plz!

Hello,
I've got a new 1.1.2 iPod and I'd like to jailbreak it. Can somebody please explain how I can downgrade it so I can jailbreak it?

Ok I'm at step 4 now and I downloaded iphuc because iNdependence doesn't work.
But I don't know how I can open iphuc.
Can anybody help me? :)

Since you're using an iPod you dont need to do that step. steps you need to do are:

Step1
Step2b
Step3
Step4
Step5

EDIT: oh i see, well to get out of restore mode you should just hold the power button (top) until it comes back on

Alright but I just want to downgrade and then jailbreak. i don't wanna upgrade.^^
I don't understand this step though:

"4. In order to kick the phone out of that mode I just had to launch iNdependence version 1.2.5
and wait a minute or so. If you are using iTunes 7.5 you will have to get a MobileDevice from a
previousv version in order to run Independence.

- If iNdependence is not available or you are on a Windows machine, download a working copy of
iPhuc and issue the following commands:
cmd setenv auto-boot true
cmd saveenv
cmd fsboot"

I don't have a mac so I guess i gotta do the second thing but I have no clue how to do it. Please help! :)

funnily enough i didn't need iNdipendence when upgrading, came to a suprise to me, but it works fine, now all i need to do is find out what directiories the mail setting files go

The instruction says you need iPhuc. Once you get that(google?) then you just type those 3 commands in and proceed to the next step.

I followed these instructions and was successful in 10 minutes, just download the file, put it in restore mode, and restore the old firmware. That easy.

Will iPhuc restore fw any differently than iTunes does in dfu mode?

I cannot restore my fw in iTunes in dfu mode I get error (1051).

I have tried everything (multiple firmwares, reinstall of iTunes).

Any info or apps that may virginize or restore the fw is appreciated. :D

just make sure the ending is .ispw and when you go into itunes with 1.1.2 just shift click restore and itll restore its stuff and then u can jailbreak and do whatever you want.

if you downloaded the 1.1.1 or whatever firmware u want to go to just shift click restore and find the file and open it. then itunes will do its thing. if you dont know where to get the firmware heres a link

go to the ipod touch downloads and download whatever firmware u need if u dont have it. Or i think its saved on you computer somewhere in the apple folders but i dont know where at.
