There's various places that show how to dismantle a sony ericsson t610 to change the cover. I don't really care for that but the screen worries me. Once you scratch it, is that the end of it?

well, i have a t68i, the precurser to the t610.

on mine, the screen is behind a piece of plastic which is part of the exterior case. scratch that screen cover, all you need to do is replace the case.

my guess is that it is the same for the t610. no need to expose the screen if you don't need to physically touch it (P800).

The T610 screen is a seperate piece iirc, someone dismanted one and sprayed the metal black... have a look on Esato (www.esato.com) there a good forun for SE users :)
