Need Help - Want to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1

My phone is 1.0.2 with Installer on it with apps. I'd like to go to 1.1.1 and re-do my springboard, etc.

Do I simply do an iTunes 'restore'? But I think that automatically updates me to 1.1.2 which won't allow me to rehack? I'm not even sure how to find 1.1.1 to avoid the 1.1.2?

I'm currently not using the sim in this phone though I have youtube & wifi. I have Installer 3.0b4 installed on my 1.0.2 phone. Can anyone advise me? I'd just like to have 1.1.1 and have my pretty screen/apps back on it. Thank you!

It is not the easiest process. First you have to virginize your phone and then upgrade. Follow this guides

Oh - this is most unfortunate.

I thought revirginizing was only for SIM Unlocked phones and not the simple hacking. :( Thanks for responding.

Well, I did a restore in iTunes and selected 1.1.1. - worked fine. Then went to jailbreakme on the phone - boom. Works great.

Only my springboard backgrounds don't show up. But awesome.
