A client has a forum-based website they want me to take on. Its relatively active. I need some help finding an appropriate monthly fee. I have two possible scenarios, you're input on both would be greatly appreciated.

#1: Just keeping the forum running. Upgrading server/forum software, repairing problems as they arise, some web design and code customization.
Estimated time: 2-4 hours a month.

#2: All tasks outlined in scenario 1, plus some moderating on the forum, dealing with payments / data-center, helping members post photos / technical assistance, keeping track of members and banning trouble-users.
Estimated time: 5-6 hours a month.

I'm an honest person, not looking to overcharge at all.

I'd say stick to the forum administration duties and nix any thought of forum moderation in the discussion.

You may have the account, but leave it to open to something that is done on a time allowed basis.

So bump the payments to #1 and bump it 5-6 hours a month, some months will be less and some more. You can always reduce the payments to you later if you wish, just much harder to raise them later if you underbid yourself.
