iPod Some songs aren't seen

iTunes apparently doesn't see some songs that are in the iTunes library. I can go to each song in the finder, click on the song, and iTunes now knows about it, but I've got thousands of songs - and I don't have any idea how many are missing.

Is there a quick way to have iTunes find all of the songs in the iTunes library?
