Alright, here is the story. I am a big Survivor and CSI fan. I was checking out this season's CBS website and they have locked us Mac users out of all of the video on their primetime preview site! The Survivor site and CSI_Las Vegas pages seems to all still work fine but all of the Primetime preview pages on CBS.com use crappy coding for plug-ins and CSI_Miami won't load Flash.

The real kicker is they are using all Mac compatible technologies! (RealOne Player & Flash) They have just been lazy and used proprietary coding for compatible plug-ins!!!

LET'S BAN TOGETHER AND NOT LET MAC USERS GET LEFT OUT IN THE COLD!!!

CLICK ON "FEEDBACK" AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

Please, Please click on their feedback page and let them know how you feel!!!

Thanks! Maybe we'll be heard!

I don't know what your using, but the only problem is the load time. It works great. Actually faster to navigate than before.

This site was clearly not working last night. I am a experienced web developer and I could see the plug-ins were not loading in Safari. Before I went to bed (after I was done ranting) I updated to 10.2.8 via software update. I thought I'd check out the site after the last reply and guess what, it works. everything that didn't work now works. Did they update their site or was it the Safari updates in 10.2.8? We may never know.

Aparently there was some fixes to Safari in 10.2.8 according to some articles ive read.

The only problem is that CSI interactive requires Shockwave Player, and cannot detect it under Safari, although there is one installed by Apple. I wish Web developers would't be so anal about checking every signature, and trust that the user has a clue.
