Compaq Presario 2811CA - Same as the EVO 800C
Pentium 4 Mobile 1.6 GHz, 512mb DDR, 30GB HD, DVD/CDR/RW, Radeon 7500 32meg, 15" screen, magnesium case, 802.11b, WinXP Home(legit), Office 2000 (legit), battery holds a full charge 3.5-4hours, USB2.0. No dead pixels.

You can play first person shooters (counterstrike, ut2k3, castle
wolfenstein) and games like Dungeon Siege or Neverwinter Nights at very good frame rates on this computer. Cheaper laptops with shared video memory can not do this. The screen is high quality with great contrast and fast refresh. DVD movies look great on it.

You can get cheap laptops with integrated video and plastic cases for cheap these days - but this one is a lot nicer.

Its less than a year old. 2 years left on Future Shop (Best Buy Canada) extended warranty (transferable). Many new laptops on come with 90 days now.

I am looking to trade for an Apple PowerBook or iBook or sell. I bought this for $2499 last December + the 3 year warranty and taxes (a wee bit over $3000). I would like to get $2000 cdn. I am somewhat negotiable.

I would prefer to sell it in Canada - the warranty is meaningless if I eBay it into the states.

lol the Evo n800c is WAY better then your model buddy. yours is the home model or as they put it 'desktop replacement' which is just a nicer word for BRICK. people that own powerbooks and ibooks and are used to their notebooks weighing practically nothing are not gonna want that tank in a shell. the Evon800c is the business model which is a true notebook in that it weighs under 6 pounds. in all honesty do not expect to get more then 1200-1300 canadian for that thing. thats wat they go for in the buyandsell and even less on ebay

speaking about pc-laptops... did you know that there exists a P4 3.2GHZ laptop? and they have very good marketing: they sell it as a DUAL P4 (well, it's this hyperthreating-thing)

Nevertheless, it was still kind of dick of you to be so harsh in your reply. It's one thing to point something out to a potential buyer, it's another to laugh at him and be unkind. This is his thread and he is selling something. The last thing he needs is you making a comment that now makes it 10 times harder for him to sell it. Have some respect. State your point if you want, but don't be a dick about it.

Halo runs fine on this laptop!

I am still open to offers.

If you think you would like a PC for gaming this is your machine. I can prove how well it plays games by making a video of games running on the laptop if you like.

Also, I have lots of good original PC games that I will include with this system.

These things depreciate so fast! If I am going to take a bath on it, I might as well surrender it to another Mac head. 2 PCs is one too many for me, this one has gotta go.

i love that you can admit that pcs are terrible at holding their value. Try also posting on howardforums.com its a cell phone forum but they have a marketplace where people sell all sorts of stuff, and usually you will get a buyer in a day or two.
