400mhz
1024 MB of RAM
DVD-ROM (new winter of '03 via apple care)
20BG hard drive
3 batteries (all hold charge very well, one is just a year old...I will test each ones DVD play time)
No dead or stuck pixels
Airport card
It has 9.2.2 and 10.2.5? on it (can update to latest possible for G3). I can include all the original CDs and keep all the latest "i" apps on it (isync, itunes, imovie, ical, ichat, etc).
It has always run great and never kernal paniced or given me problems. I can also include the original 6GB hard drive. This has been hardly used in the last year since I got my DP867 MDD. I just don't need it and am willing to part with it now while its still worth a fair ammount.
As for price, I've seen 500mhz ones with less RAM, fewer batteries and small HD go for $800+ on EBay.
$800 + shipping OBO?

Free bump due to an awesome burn. A Pismo with the 900MHz upgrade is still Apple's best portable.

I miss those days of 6-9 hours away from an AC adaptor!
(The Pismo can load 2 batteries in it's bays).

How about 12 hours (I have 3 good batteries) :)
I looked into the 900mhz upgrade, but thats still $350. I did use it the other night and it was nice to have a portable (working in PS while watching football). Using airport and the 900mhz upgrade I could do a lot more than I do now. With all the time I spend rendering on my MDD I could do graphics work and similar on the Pismo....BUt then I'm back to selling this and getting a 12" powerbook. OH the decisions!
SInce no bites at my guestimate price...what is this worth? That would help me figure out what my options are.

sell it fast for $600...
I just used up some Paypal cash or else I would bite.
Hey, you want a fast Compaq notebook? I would want cash back though, so it probably not your cup of tea. Nevermind.

The fact that you have three doesnt have to do anything with my opinion that they are overpriced... Anyways the pismos are the best laptops that apple has made but they still are overpriced. All Apple computers are overpriced remember. Even they might be overpriced just a bit( ie emacs) or a lot ( ie dual 2.0ghz g5) thats why Apple has one of the highest profit margins in the industry. if teh pismos were a bit less expensive i would have one;)

Can someone ignore my ignorance for a second? What exactly is the Pismo? I was trying to look up some specs or see a picture and can't find it.
I've been looking for a semi-cheap portable and this could do me just fine.
By the way, would you be interested in a trade for a 15GB iPod and some cash?

Apple's solution to having had 4 products named the PowerBook G3, was to drop the G3 altogether. Announced in Febrary 2000 at MacWorld Tokyo, The PowerBook (FireWire) finally brought the "Unified Motherboard Architecture" (UMA) to the professional PowerBook line. Although it shipped in virtually the same case design as the "bronze keyboard" PowerBook G3, the PowerBook (FireWire) added many impressive "under the hood" features.

I'd like a good price estimate, too. I have an smaller hard drive (6gig) on my pismo, but it has been lovingly modified to saphire blue and I even made the back of the screen apple blue. I'm buying a Alu15 at the end of the month, just waiting for panther. I might consider selling the old girl. I do love her though. Crap, maybe I'll keep it.
