First off, I don't even know if such a thing exists, but I figured with the 3million other forums out there, maybe something will be helpful.
I'm looking for a place with useful information and helpful members to discuss everyday or even situational problems that we run into in the working world. Basically at my work if there is a atypical problem, they come to me to find a solution. Google has become my best friend in these cases, but it can only get me so far.
Case in point--my most recent task has been to find database software with the following criteria: log incoming mail with sender, topic, routed to, and response expected information areas; log response letters and pair them with the incoming mail referenced, list date sent and whether it was delivered by hard copy or electronically; provide "reminders" when the "response expected" field expires. This particular software would not have to have the ability to retrieve the actual document (pdf or whatever), though it would be a nice feature to have.
So far I haven't been able to find anything similar to what I described above, and although I expect many businesses to have similar routing procedures for correspondance, I haven't the faintest idea what they might use as far as tracking is concerned.
Sorry for the length, but if anyone out there can help, I will be most grateful.
