Recently updated to 10.4.11 (Combo PPC) on my 15" Powerbook G4 1.67 1GB RAM - everything seemed fine, but my battery which was giving me about two and a half hours is now suddenly down to about 20 minutes on a full charge. Anyone else had this experience? Weird.

Have reset PRAM / PMU checked permissions, taken battery out, calibrated battery, pretty much everything I could think of. A new weirdness today is that the battery info in system profiler seems to be changing rapidly - today it's this:

Battery Installed: Yes
First low level warning: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 65419
Remaining Capacity (mAh): 65419
Amperage (mA): -1554
Voltage (mV): 12090
Cycle Count: 255

yesterday the full charge capacity was only 255 mAh

Coconut battery tells me the original Battery capacity was 4400 mAh - it's now 65419!! Can't be right..The menu bar battery meter now says I have 33 hours to go, but it will shut down in about half an hour..

The day before updating to 10.4.11 Battery life was a solid 2 1/2 hours. Also the PB seems to run a lot hotter now - was always a steady 25-30, now sits around 55.

Hmmm. This battery was a recall replacement, Anyone else had any experiences like this??

Thanks

And now this, hours later:

Battery Installed: Yes
First low level warning: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 873
Remaining Capacity (mAh): 660
Amperage (mA): 717
Voltage (mV): 12549
Cycle Count: 255

I think my battery is hosed??
