safari downloading VERY slow

I get around 15 KB/s to start with and then it just goes down, I havent had the patients to sit through any downloads. I know it either a safari or Mac OS X problem because in ubuntu I get anywhere between 50 KB/s and 1000 KB/s.😕


please delete re-started and now its fine
 
does safari freeze when the speed goes down? i had this when using the beta. it was fixed in the final beta and build.
