27 Israeli pilots refuse to fly missions in West Bank and Gaza.
Israel's air force chief has received a letter from pilots who are refusing to participate in activities targeting Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, an Israeli newspaper reported Wednesday.
Haaretz said 27 active and retired reserve duty pilots signed the letter to Maj. Gen. Dan Halutz, the Israeli air force chief, and it was reportedly sent Wednesday.
A dutch news source said the pilots strongly disagree with their governments policy, and believe the Palastinians are being repressed and humiliated. The pilots risk going to jail.

Sounds like this is being done the way it should be, rather than interviews with the news media. Good for them.

As far as i heard here in europe, the israeli army had reservist soldiers refusing to do duty in the occupied terretories for some time now.

It may be that it never leaked to those who support the army monetarily...

Of course, there are always enough hardliners eager to climb into a high tech warplane/Helicopter and turn some mudhuts to dust, so this isnt really a problem for sharon

It appears that some of them are amongst those that are refusing now. Yesterday they said it were both active and reservists soldiers, but other newssources say the group consists of reservists and retired pilots.
