launching a file with keyboard?

how do i launch a file from finder using the keyboard?

i sometimes find myself using the arrows to scroll down a list of files and wanting to launch a file not supported by quick view.

or command+down arrow. If you are already navigating with the keyboard this is probably the quickest way.
