Just an FYI (if it hasn't been mentioned already) That Intel is sponsoring today [9/25/03] as a free access day on normally fee based wifi systems in the US like Tmobile Hotspot, Boingo and others. It's part of a promotion to sell their "Centrino" mobile chips. So I think it's our duty to go suck up some of that free bandwith with our superior Powerbooks and iBooks ;-)

Note: Some providers require you to register ahead of time. I did that for Tmobile because I plan to visit every Starbucks in my area. Others though are restricting it to PCs by making you download a windows EXE utility to connect (those of you with V-PC, are OK though).

Have fun!

Cool! Three of the places available today are literally right across the street. Of course, I have AirPort in my apartment, so it isn't really necessary, and I get faster than T1 speed on my cable...... but still cool :)
