Anybody looking to upgrade from a Macbook? I'd like to get a C2D Macbook with come cash thrown in. PM me or post here.

My Macbook Pro was purchased on Leopard release date and would come with all retail packaging and accessories as well as the Leopard drop in DVD.

Again this is just a feeler as I'm not 100% sure this is something I want to go through with I just want to see what is out there.

Yes! I've been looking to trade my Late 2005 dual-core PCI-express G5 2ghz with 8gb of ram (Yes, 8gb of ram :) ), 2x160gb drives in a mirrored raid (you obviously can change it to stripped or have it just show up as 2 disks), and the stock GPU.. all for a macbook pro.

I also have the box :)

Let me know if this interests you, maybe we can work something out.

Nice box I'm sure but I'm looking for a Core 2 Duo Aluminum iMac as it states in my original post.

bit off topic, but how to trades work on here? (how do you ensure you aren't getting ripped off.)

I suppose someone has to ship first. I could come up with a couple good references that I have done business with before.

Local trade would probably be the best but highly unlikely!

I mean there is always a bit of anxiety when doing any sort of transaction on any forums. But I am willing to give out any and all personal information and even chat on the phone with someone to make them as comfortable as possible. In the end I'm not out to rip anyone off.

I can always ask about the trade. My iMac has AppleCare too. Would it be a straight trade?

Well my machine retails for $1999 and yours for $1499 but you did bump the RAM one GB. So I would say you would have to compensate some. If you have to ask your parents I wouldn't worry about it. I'm assuming if you had to do that then you wouldn't be able to add any cash. No offense of course.

I bought the machine. And the RAM. And the AppleCare.

hi tim,
i thought your original post asked about a macbook + cash?

any case i have the 24" 2.4ghz imac aluminium w/ 4gb ram and i'm flirting with modifying setup to include a mbp. in our case each of us could hold onto his own ram and just swap rest of machines if that'd help...

with you i'm still feeling this out, but interested.

thanks,
chris

Well originally I did but I edited this thread rather than starting a new one. Interesting offer though.
