I was wondering if anyone knew what it means when your mac just repeats (but cuts off early) the mac boot sound?
It'll play the entire sound first, then repeats about a 1 long sound and just continues.

Is it making a difference to your computers performance once it has started? If not .... why worry?

Mine does this when I have a CD/DVD in the optical drive. I just figured it was reading the disk and not giving full attention to playing the sound properly. Doesn't hurt anything.

I don't have this with my MBP, on booting with a CD/DVD. Sounds like an odd issue...

i'd keep an eye on it...the only time i've had two boot sounds was when i was resetting the PRAM or SMC i forget which.

My macbook does it when my external hard drive is plugged in. As soon as the drive has spun up and is fully turned on, the macbook sound stops repeating and carries on like normal.
