Google reported today that the term "iPhone" topped a list of fastest rising search terms in the U.S. in 2007 (http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUKN0455323020071205?rpc=44).

"iPhone, of course, is a word very few people typed in a search box in 2006," said Marissa Mayer of Google, an Internet search engine. "It didn't exist."

iPhone was also top ranking on a worldwide list. Other top-performers were social networking sites, TMZ.com, and "Transformers."

unless you get a transformer iPhone...

How about an iPhone that transforms into a Zune for security. Who wants to steal a Zune.

iPhone buyers during the month of Dec'2007 would have caused most of the search - like me, who have bought 1.1.2 OTB searching for an unlock solution for the past one month without success...

It has become everyday excercise till I can make this expensive paper-weight to work somehow!!!

I have been discouraging others from buying iPhone as well.

No doubt Apple has a way of stirring up attention. This is good news for Steve Jobs, he has always wanted to "put a ding in the universe".

I wish we could learn about all the sub-search terms.. like "iphone 3gb" etc. that would be interesting. how many searches for iPhone (http://personafile.com/iPhone-apps.html)came from an iPhone?
