Full Screen on External display?

Hey there, I want to watch LOST full screen on my external display whilst still using my iMac display for web browsing etc, but whenever I try, it blacks out the iMac display as well.

Any way of doing this?

if using dvd player dont set enter full screen. instead make it fit to screen. same with quicktime as well if not a dvd

Im using iTunes, so using Fit To Screen I can still see the desktop.
