As an engineering graduate myself I don't see this as a good thing. When the ruling group of a country is drawn entirely from similar disciplines and backgrounds they cannot be fully aware of every issue that requires tackling. They need some medical doctors and teachers in there, and some from the agricultural and working classes.

I know China isn't a democracy, but even under their system people could have better representation than this.
