stopping icons bouncing on the dock

Hi all,
Is there anyway to stop icons bouncing on the dock? Just once would be grand (like the download stack) but Keynote is driving me up the wall every time i open a file and then go do something else for a second it just keeps bouncing. It's the worst when I'm opening a few documents at the once...

Two words..... System Preferences

A few more words maybe...

Look in the Dock pane in System Preferences, and uncheck 'Animate opening applications'. That should do the trick.

you know, I saw that but i thought that wouldn't work since it's only for opening programs... but you know what... I'm wrong... but happy

no, not working... Just opened mail and it had an email not sending with the selected server and it started bouncing...
