What version of Customize.app are you using? I can't believe that they still haven't fixed the behavior of the "Restore to Backup" function.

P pacohaas macrumors 6502a Feb 7, 2008 #7 restore it in iTunes, that should bring you back to factory settings and next time don't do whatever it is you did to blank the screen.
