Hello all. I need some advice on buying a photo printer.
I need a printer that prints only 4x6 stills and has compact flash input. It must be able to be independant from a computer and must print fast with relatively good quality. I am inputing 4 megapixel images, so I will see if the printer does a crappy job.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience with these types of printers?

Are you a school photographer?
I take my photography seriously. And, althouugh I love my Oly C-3040, taking my images through Photoshop and then printing to my trusty Epson 6 color SP 780 has kept me very happy for the last two years. If you are using Mac, I would shop Epson first though.

I have never found an epson printer that has worked. HP makes some very excellent 4 by 6 no border printers with CF input for only like $200. It can print 34 megapixel images (1200dpix1200dpix24 square inches of printing space)

What about the Sony personal dye-sub printer?
Sony photo printer (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384567420&type=product)
Seems like the quality and the life of the print would both be better than an inkjet, but I'm asking because I don't really know. I'd like to buy a photo printer, too, and I wasn't impressed with the HP prints. Has anyone used the Sony?
