Meh, I never like it anyway. Good riddance.

I was mad when I couldn't use it anymore. I just got my first mac in october, and was using Tiger, and thought that this was one of the great things about the mac, and when i switched over to Leopard i was very dissapointed with apple for getting rid of it. The movie widget is harder to use, and it was just so much easier to have all the features in one application than having it spread out in different places.

I switched with the iMac G5 and used Sherlock twice and each time I wondered what the point of it was. Not missing it at all but I suppose I came late to the Sherlock game and to a time where it wasn't really needed.

I'm sure some will miss it.

Me for one!!! It was great for certain things. I did like the flight checker on it and the google images but i suppose the flight checker is on a widget (which i don't like so much) and google images now must be accessed through the web... not as handy to be honest

Sherlock, I thought, was a nice idea, but I never, ever used it. It would be handy if, for example, you didn't have a browser installed on a computer (for whatever reason).

It was a copy of Watson? I don't recall how that all went down. Like, Apple came out with Sherlock that did something. Some third party came out with Watson that did other stuff. Then Apple came out with a different Sherlock that did what Watson did?? Oh, the missing memories.

Apple came out with Sherlock and another company came out with a product they called Watson that added some complimentary things to Sherlock. Per the name. Apple was increasing what Sherlock would do, and some of it overlapped with what Watson did. Apple went to the guy responsible for Watson while the Sherlock upgrades were being developed and offered him a job. He turned it down, but was gracious in accepting that Watson was done for. He made some updates, but eventually it died just as Sherlock has faded away.

I didn't even notice Sherlock was gone if that tells you how much I used it.

I never use it. For all the stuff I need, I use quicksilver's websearch bookmarks. It was nice how Sherlock aggregated the results into a predictable non-webpage form, though.

I don't think the concept is gone forever, but these days, you ask google what your mom's middle name is, and, feeling lucky, it'll tell you, but you still have to riffle through the resulting randomly formatted webpage to find it.

I loved Sherlock, but Dashboard is better yet.

im pissed, I didnt use sherlock that much, but when I wanted flight info or movie info, thats where I went. Kind of upseting to go to it and it not work. Everyone knows the dashboard is a great a idea, but heavily flawed, I dont want to have to use a widget when I had an application that did it for me. Please oh please apple bring Sherlock back!!
